The former president of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim e.V., once a talented player in the Oberliga for the same club, is known as the Kraichgauer. Apart from his commitment on the soccer pitch, he is an accomplished craftsman and has been involved in various projects abroad for many years, where he has personally seen the work done. He has also been a member of the GUFC Supervisory Board since 2018.

His work with the fans, especially the young fans, at TSG 1899 is particularly close to his heart. He is heavily involved in youth and school programs organized by the Hoffe-Express team and is always ready to lend a hand where help is needed. He is also an active member of the Monday Kickers.

The diplomat is currently ambassador in Brussels as a representative on the Political and Security Committee. Previously, he was Head of the Press Section at the German Embassy in Pretoria and, from 2017, Ambassador for South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini. He also gained further experience in the diplomatic service at the embassies in Kiev and Santiago de Chile and as Head of the Press Unit of the then Foreign Ministers Frank Walter Steinmeier and Sigmar Gabriel. The Werder Bremen fan was also a frequent guest commentator on Bundesliga broadcasts on the South African state broadcaster SABC.

The former professional is a man of the first hour at Global United FC. He is a former U21 international for the Netherlands and played for PSV Eindhoven and NAC Breda, among others. Further stations took the former midfielder to Canada, the USA, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa. He then became a coach and was also active as head of youth development in Saudi Arabia at NAC Breda and most recently at PSV Eindhoven.
