ATSIKANA WALANI TECHNICAL COLLEGE

80 young women at the Atsikana Walani Technical College near the UNHCR refugee camp Dzaleka in Malawi are happy about the completion of the sports field, which Global United F.C. supported in cooperation with the Herrnhuter - Evangelische Brüder Unität - Moravians. The women there receive training in the fields of electricity, solar energy, tailoring/design and other workshops on WASH, HIV/Aids, sustainable agriculture, etc.

Herrrnhuter Missionshilfe is still looking for sponsors for the women to help finance the school fees. There are plans to expand the center to accommodate up to 240 women. The sports field offers the women the opportunity to play basketball, netball, volleyball or soccer and to acquire valuable skills through sport.
